Cold Frame

YEE-HAAW. Our first experimental hay-bale cold frame. Very low-tech, very inexpensive and very effective(we hope). We're gonna put some thermometers inside and outside and test the difference in temp.

The concept is simple. Let the light in, keep the heat in, and protect against the wind. When we build our real cold frames we'll also slope the ground about 5 degrees to maximize the sunlight. Also, Luke says hi.

Yay,

Ben just told us about the website. Sweet! I am so excited to have a connection to you dudes out there. Good luck. Impressive progress so far. Who has volunteered to spend a night in the cold frame? You need to put your life on the line before you can expect the veggies to!

Hey...I gave the veg-troops to the sunfruit lady she was really happy....I took a picture of where she hung it...she hung it in the back on a mountain-scape...and when I say the back I mean it was in her cozy office.
I'll post it when I figure out my online album for my phone.

Love yas!
